Radiation Resistant Glass Under High Energy Rays

Radiation resistant glass is a glass with a small decrease in visible light transmission rate after X-rays and γ-rays irradiation. It is based on radiation resistant glass, adjusting the glass components and improving the glass structure, which can effectively improve the radiation resistance of the glass while reducing the lead content of the glass. There are two common ways we use in producing radiation resistant glass: introducing a small amount of cerium oxide & using high purity single component glass. Radiation resistance mainly refers to the physical, chemical and mechanical properties of the glass not being destroyed under the working environment of high-energy rays, and still working normally. Radiation resistant glass is often used in nuclear power plants, nuclear test chambers, aerospace, medical facilities and other environments.
